Android Vs. iOS

ANDROID-VS-IOS

On occasion, online debates divide participants into opposing camps who begin attacking one another's viewpoints and arguing for their own. Such discussions, for example, can center on topics like "Real Madrid is a better team than Barcelona," "Mercedes is a better car than BMW," "Google Chrome is a better internet browser than Mozilla," and "Russia has more force than America," and so forth. Since each of the aforementioned contains positive and negative features, it is not very appropriate to compare distinct traits with one another. Therefore, addressing similar concerns and forcing your perspective on the other person is inappropriate. Because Real Madrid supporters can argue that their team is superior to Barcelona because they have won 10 Champions League Cups, the statement "Barcelona is a better team than Real Madrid because Messi plays there" cannot be accepted as fact. In other words, this discussion revolves around Real Madrid's championships and Lionel Messi's upcoming move to Barcelona. Comparing the same aspects of both sides will produce the best results in such conversations; for each person, the side with more significant advantages about their preferences will prevail.

But today, I'm going to talk about the Android and iOS operating systems instead of football. Naturally, I'll weigh the benefits and drawbacks of these two operating systems and leave the reader's choice as the ultimate word.

Speed

Like Windows, the Android operating system slows down over time, so you may need to routinely clear out garbage files or do a complete reset. When some apps are being installed or updated, Android also performs slowly. Some games require you to free the RAM before starting them to operate more quickly.

With iOS, I haven't run into this issue. iOS continues to function flawlessly even after extended use. Indeed, iOS can occasionally be slow, yet iOS is faster than Android.

File System

The more flexible Android is, the more modifications are possible. For instance, you can alter the keyboard, call screen, file directories, and other file-related settings. Once rooted, Android is a totally open platform where system files can even be modified.

The ability to use an external keyboard has recently been provided to the iOS system, which is otherwise relatively closed. And only after jailbreaking and installing specific applications can files and their directories be visible. Following a jailbreak, you can also access and modify system files.

Security

Android is a more open operating system. Thus there are more opportunities for viruses and harmful apps to existing here.

Applications

Applications can be installed on the Android operating system from sources other than the official Google Play. That means you can download and install the application using its app file, which is available online. In other words, you can download and install restricted or paid apps on Google Play from other websites. Additionally, there are more Android apps available than iOS apps.

iOS can only install applications that have been downloaded from the App Store. Only after jailbreaking the device is it possible to remove this restriction.

System Update

Only specific phone models can use newer versions of the Android operating system. To put it another way, if your phone is still using Android 4.4 KitKat, likely, you won't upgrade to Android 5.0 Lollipop or later.

New updates for iOS are made available to all users and devices, except very ancient models.

For Programmers

The Windows operating system allows for the creation of Android system apps. Still, Mac OS X is required to build iOS applications. On Google Play, launching apps cost $25 once, but doing so on the App Store costs $99 annually.

Bluetooth

While iOS phones can only share files with iOS phones via Bluetooth, Android phones can transmit files to any other phone using Bluetooth.

MicroSD card

Although iOS devices cannot add memory cards, it is occasionally essential to uninstall older applications to make room for a new one. The great majority of Android smartphones support memory card insertion.

Camera, Processor, and Other Modules

Since there are so many Android smartphones available, each with a different camera, processor, fingerprint scanner, and other components, there is no clear winner in this comparison. With these criteria, you should compare particular phones.

Physical Back button

In most cases, Android phones offer a button to return to the previous page or step. Although an iOS 9 back button can be seen in some contexts, it cannot completely replace a physical back button.

Widgets

On Android, you may display a variety of Widgets. This is a stringent policy of the iOS operating system, and the option to add widgets to notifications only became available.

Clarity

The iOS system is straightforward and easy to use. The Home button is used for all activities in this situation, and programs are displayed on the screen. On Android, the home screen contains links to the apps, but another screen has the actual programs. For inexperienced users, this might occasionally be confusing.

Price

The fact that so many businesses produce Android phones is the reason why these phones are less expensive. There is a monopoly in this market because only Apple develops iOS-compatible phones. Furthermore, we all understand that trust results in higher prices.

Brand

iPhone phones are more distinctive and branded, and Apple is currently regarded as the most expensive brand. iOS triumphs in this comparison since an Android phone might as well be produced by a mysterious Chinese corporation.

Summary:

The following specifications make iOS valuable:

  1. Speed
  2. Security
  3. System Update
  4. Clarity
  5. Brand

With these specifications, Android triumphs:

  1. File System
  2. Applications
  3. For Programmers
  4. Bluetooth:
  5. MicroSD card
  6. Physical Back button
  7. Widgets
  8. Price

So, to decide between these two systems, you must determine which features are vital to you and pick the operating system accordingly.
